Privacy policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
In short: Gachara works on your device, PC or phone. Unless you choose to send a report or sign in, nothing about you leaves it. The only thing the app sends by itself is an anonymous "opened today" count, with nothing that identifies you, which you can turn off. We don't show ads, we don't sell or share your data, and we never read your games' memory or network traffic.
Who we are
Gachara is a free, independent hobby project made by Axel394 in Italy. For any question about your data, or to ask us to see or delete it, open an issue on GitHub. Issues are public: don't write personal details there, just tell us what you need and we'll reply on how to proceed privately.
What stays on your device
Everything Gachara needs to work is stored on your device and is never sent to us: on the PC in Gachara's folder, in the Android and iPhone apps in the app's own storage, in the web app in your browser.
- your box (the characters you own and their levels, gear and other details), your settings, checklists, pull numbers and summon history;
- the guide data Gachara downloads, and screen captures you take with it;
- if you use the app in Italian, the translations of guide and news texts: they are made on your device by a translation engine (the one Firefox uses), and no text is sent anywhere to be translated. On Windows it comes with the app; on the phone you download it once from Settings, from the same public sources the app is built with (the npm package registry for the engine, Mozilla's model archive for the English → Italian model): those downloads send nothing about you;
- the sessions of the official game websites you sign in to inside Gachara (for example Blablalink for NIKKE). You sign in directly with those sites: Gachara never sees or stores your password, and it only reads what the page shows you;
- on the phone, the notifications Gachara prepares for the next three days (a Solo Raid that ends, a banner worth pulling, a Dokkan deadline): your phone keeps them and shows them at the right time, with no server in between;
- the backups you make in Settings: a file saved where you choose (on the PC a folder, on the phone wherever you send it from the share menu). It never comes to us.
Deleting the app removes all of it: on the PC, uninstall Gachara and delete its folder (Settings → "Open the Gachara data folder"); on a phone, uninstall the app; in the browser, clear this site's data.
Reading the game screen
If you turn on Screen Reader, Gachara looks at the game window you choose, every few seconds, to read your box and similar screens. The images are processed on your PC and are never stored online or sent anywhere. Gachara doesn't record other windows, doesn't read the game's memory or network traffic, and never taps or plays for you.
On the Android app, Screen Reader uses Android's own screen sharing: you start it, Android asks you what to share and shows that sharing is on, and you stop it whenever you want. The images are processed on your phone and are never stored or sent anywhere.
You can also pick a screen recording you made yourself. That's how it works on iPhone, where an app can't look at the screen while you play, and it works on Android and in the web app too. The video is read on your device, frame by frame, and Gachara never uploads it, copies it or keeps it.
The official game websites open inside the phone apps exactly as on the PC: you sign in with the site, and Gachara only reads what the page shows you.
Public websites Gachara visits
To keep guides and game data current, Gachara downloads public pages and images from guide and database sites (such as Prydwen, nikkers.cc, Loot & Waifus, DokkanStats, dokkaninfo, Nikke-db, BD2DB and Banner Recommendation) and the public news of the official game websites (such as the Brown Dust 2 news), plus the public code lists of PocketGamer, allthings.how, Destructoid and supercheats, to show the codes you can redeem. Most days the game data comes as a ready-made package from the same public GitHub repository as the app (refreshed once a day), and the sites above are visited only when that package is missing or out of date. The phone apps do the same from your phone. Like any visit from a browser, those sites see your IP address; their own privacy policies apply. Gachara sends them nothing about you.
App updates
The Windows, Android and iPhone apps ask GitHub, where the downloads are hosted, whether a newer version exists, and download it from there. These requests carry no data about you.
On iPhone you install Gachara with AltStore or SideStore, which read the list of Gachara versions on this site (altstore.json) to find updates. They sign the app with your Apple ID: that happens between them and Apple, and Gachara never sees your Apple ID or password.
Reports you choose to send
The Feedback section, on the PC, on the phone and in the web app, lets you share how you cleared a stage, report a problem or suggest an idea. Nothing is sent until you press "Send". What is sent:
- what you filled in (for example the team, items, number of attempts and your notes) and, if you add one, a screenshot;
- the nickname you sign with, only if you write one: it lets us answer you and ask for details;
- the Gachara version and a random number created by your installation, used only to limit spam and to avoid counting the same player twice. It doesn't identify you;
- for a problem report, unless you untick it, technical info to understand what went wrong: the version of Windows or of your phone's system, screen size and scaling, app language, how many cards your box has, the app's own error messages of the last two days (with your Windows user name removed from file paths) and, if Screen Reader is on, its state (the window title only if you picked the window yourself) and, if you didn't add a screenshot, the picture of the game window it is reading (for Brown Dust 2 only the list of your costumes, never the character art). You can see all of it before sending.
Reports are stored in our database at Supabase, our database provider. Other players can see the team, items and attempts you shared; your free text is shown only after we review it; screenshots are never shown publicly. A screenshot may contain your in-game name: crop it if you prefer.
Every report becomes a ticket: in "Your tickets" you see its status and our replies, and you can answer. Your tickets and the messages are read with your installation's random number, so only your installation sees them; your nickname is never shown to other players. We delete tickets when they are no longer needed, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Anonymous usage count
To know how many people use Gachara, the app tells our server that it was opened: once a day, the first time you open it that day. This applies to the Windows app, the Android app, the iPhone app and the web app. What is sent:
- the Gachara version and which of them it is (Windows, Android, iPhone or web app);
- three yes-or-no answers worked out on your device: whether this is your first opening of the week, of the month, and ever.
Nothing else is sent: no name, no account, no installation number, nothing about your games or your device. The server only adds one to a daily total and stores no record of who was counted, nor your IP address. The dates of the last day counted stay on your device and are never sent. You can turn the count off in Settings, under "Anonymous usage count".
This website counts the same way: one visit a day per browser, and the clicks on the download and "Open Gachara" buttons, as daily totals with no identifier and no cookies. It doesn't count browsers that ask not to be tracked ("Do Not Track").
Optional account: Sign in with Google
Gachara works fully without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, to keep your progress the same on all your devices:
- What we receive from Google: your Google account identifier, email address, name and profile picture link (the basic "openid", "email" and "profile" permissions). We don't ask for, and can't access, your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data.
- What we use it for: only to recognise your account and keep your Gachara progress (box, checklists, cleared stages, pull numbers, summon history, settings and the teams you import from guide sites, like the Special Interception ones from nikke.gg, and the codes you already redeemed with the code list read from dotgg.gg or nikke.gg) in sync between your devices. Website sessions, screen captures and recordings are never synced.
- Where it is stored: in our database at Supabase, which handles the sign-in for us.
- Deleting it: you can delete your account and all its synced data from Gachara's Settings at any time, or ask us to do it.
- On the Android and iPhone apps: after you sign in with Google in your browser, a page of this site (
accesso.html) sends you back to the app with a one-time sign-in code in its address; the page stores nothing, and the code is useless without a secret that never leaves the app.
Gachara's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We never use this information for advertising and never sell or transfer it to others.
How long we keep data
- Data on your device: until you delete it.
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Reports: until they are removed, by us or at your request.
- Usage count: only daily totals, which can't be linked to anyone.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account or asking us. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can also complain to a data protection authority; in Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
We process account data and reports because you choose to use those features (your consent), and update checks because the app needs them to stay up to date.
Children
If you are under 14, please ask a parent or guardian before signing in or sending reports.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and important changes will be announced in the app.
Informativa sulla privacy
Ultimo aggiornamento: 15 ottobre 2026
- il tuo box (i personaggi che hai, con livelli, equipaggiamento e altri dettagli), le impostazioni, le checklist, i conti delle pull e la cronologia delle evocazioni;
- i dati delle guide che Gachara scarica, e le catture dello schermo che fai con lei;
- se usi l'app in italiano, le traduzioni dei testi delle guide e delle notizie: le fa sul tuo dispositivo un traduttore (quello di Firefox), e nessun testo viene mandato da qualche parte per essere tradotto. Su Windows viaggia con l'app; sul telefono lo scarichi una volta dalle Impostazioni, dalle stesse fonti pubbliche con cui è fatta l'app (l'archivio dei pacchetti npm per il motore, quello dei modelli di Mozilla per il modello inglese → italiano): quegli scaricamenti non mandano niente su di te;
- le sessioni dei siti ufficiali dei giochi a cui accedi dentro Gachara (per esempio Blablalink per NIKKE). L'accesso lo fai direttamente con quei siti: Gachara non vede e non salva mai la tua password, e legge solo quello che la pagina mostra a te;
- sul telefono, le notifiche che Gachara prepara per i tre giorni successivi (un Solo Raid che finisce, un banner che vale, una scadenza di Dokkan): le tiene il telefono e le mostra al momento giusto, senza nessun server in mezzo;
- quello che hai compilato (per esempio la squadra, gli oggetti, i tentativi e le tue note) e, se la aggiungi, una schermata;
- il nick con cui firmi, solo se lo scrivi: serve a risponderti e a chiederti dettagli;
- la versione di Gachara e un numero a caso creato dalla tua installazione, che serve solo a limitare lo spam e a non contare due volte lo stesso giocatore. Non ti identifica;
- la versione di Gachara e quale delle quattro è (Windows, Android, iPhone o web app);
I tuoi diritti
